Sonus faber Sonetto VIII G2

ELEVATED SOUND

Sonetto VIII is the largest floorstanding model in the Sonetto G2 range. Its three-way architecture combines a Camelia midrange, twin 200 mm woofers and an extended-range D.A.D. tweeter to deliver powerful bass, high resolution and an expansive presentation.

CORK

The tweeter and Camelia midrange are housed within a dedicated cork chamber derived from the acoustic technology of Suprema. The chamber is specifically shaped around the internal volume of the drivers, using cork’s acoustic characteristics to improve midrange clarity and natural reproduction.

CAMELIA MIDRANGE SPEAKER

The Camelia midrange uses an organic basket and a membrane inspired by the five-cut geometry of the camellia flower. The unusual diaphragm shape is designed to reduce resonances associated with circular membranes while preserving the Natural Sound character of Sonus faber.

CONCRETE BASE

The new concrete base provides a stable foundation for Sonetto VIII, increasing structural stability and helping to control unwanted vibrations. Its substantial construction complements the speaker’s large-scale performance.

PHASE COHERENT

The Phase Coherent Crossover philosophy coordinates the phase rotation of the individual drivers with the aim of producing a highly coherent soundstage. The resulting presentation is designed to provide precise spatial information and a strong sense of realism.
