Our Story
Over 40 Years of HiFi
Founded by Paul Money in 1982, the business began with HiFi and car stereo and has operated from the same Mt Eden location ever since.
John Tom, who joined the business in its early years and became a long-standing employee and manager, took ownership in 2005.
Today, our focus is on HiFi systems and home audio, while continuing the same commitment to knowledgeable advice and service.

Meet John
A Passion for HiFi
My passion for music came at a young age, when I would listen to records to relax after working in the family market garden. From transistor AM radios to Walkmans, and then creating my own music compilations on tape. Along came the car audio phase when I got my first car.
It was during my university days that I got a part-time job at Paul Money Hi Fi and, after 18 years, I purchased the company in 2005.
Nothing has changed apart from the fact that I offer hand-picked brands that I believe are the best products in their class. With decades of experience and a true passion for Hi Fi, I simply can piece together the best-sounding systems at any price.
