HERITAGE REBORN WITH MODERN INNOVATION

Dive into the legacy of Sonus faber with Concertino, a masterpiece luxury bookshelf speaker that seamlessly blends heritage with cutting edge technology.

Description

ICONIC SOUND. MODERN ARTISTRY.

Concertino combines Sonus faber’s traditional bookshelf loudspeaker design with new acoustic technologies and natural materials. The current Concertino G4 revisits the historic Concertino concept while introducing cork, solid walnut and plant-based leather alongside updated acoustic engineering.

RESPECT FOR TRADITION AND PASSION FOR INNOVATION

Concertino combines the classic trapezoidal form associated with Sonus faber’s heritage with modern acoustic development. Its two-way design is intended to retain the simplicity of the company’s early bookshelf loudspeakers while incorporating new materials and technologies.

PLANT-BASED LEATHER

Concertino introduces an eco-friendly plant-based leather developed by the Italian company Ohoskin. The material is produced using derivatives of Sicilian oranges and prickly pears and is used across the front baffle and cork structure. This provides an alternative to conventional leather while maintaining the premium material character associated with Sonus faber.

SIGNATURE ELEMENTS

The two-way system combines a 1.1-inch silk dome tweeter with D.A.D. technology and a 5.25-inch long-throw paper-pulp midwoofer. The midwoofer uses an organic basket, continuing Sonus faber’s use of nature-inspired forms within its driver construction.

ACOUSTIC PROPERTIES OF CORK

A central cork chassis forms one of the defining features of Concertino G4. The cork structure can be shaped to suit the cabinet and helps limit internal resonances while reducing the amount of additional damping material required. Concertino is the first Sonus faber speaker to combine this cork structure with a midwoofer.

SOLID WOOD

The cabinet side walls are constructed from solid walnut. The material is selected for both its aesthetic and acoustic properties, while the ribbed surface adds rigidity and structural support without relying on conventional internal bracing.

REAR REFLEX DUCT

Unlike its predecessor, Concertino G4 positions the reflex duct at the rear of the cabinet. This configuration is designed to avoid turbulence at the front of the speaker.

PHASE-COHERENT CROSSOVER

The crossover uses a simple phase-coherent design intended to improve phase alignment between the drivers. This approach contributes to a more defined and three-dimensional sound image.

IRON STAND

The dedicated Iron Stand is designed specifically for Concertino. It combines iron with walnut veneer wood and uses a structural IPE beam construction. The stand is sold separately.
