The EVO 100 is a standalone, all-tube phono stage engineered to the same exacting standards as PrimaLuna’s amplifiers. Its intuitive design supports both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges while keeping setup and operation refreshingly simple.

Moving-Magnet and Moving-Coil Support

The moving-magnet stage provides two capacitance settings, while the moving-coil stage offers three gain levels and five input-impedance settings. This flexibility allows the EVO 100 to accommodate a wide range of cartridges.

Protected Moving-Coil Circuitry

The delicate moving-coil circuit board is mechanically decoupled to help isolate it from unwanted vibration. This protects low-level cartridge signals and preserves fine musical detail.

All-Tube Signal Path

Four 12AX7 tubes provide gain for moving-magnet cartridges, while two 6922 tubes handle moving-coil amplification. This all-tube architecture delivers rich tonal texture, excellent detail and a smooth, natural presentation.

Tube-Rectified Power Supply

Two 5AR4 rectifier tubes and two EL34 stabiliser tubes provide clean, controlled power. This substantial power-supply design helps create a quiet background with strong dynamics and impressive spatial depth.

Weighing 27.9 pounds, the EVO 100 features a massive custom power transformer with comprehensive protection. Its heavy-gauge steel chassis is finished with PrimaLuna’s deep, five-coat paint, with every layer hand-rubbed and polished.

High-quality components are connected using meticulous point-to-point wiring. Ceramic tube sockets, Nichicon and DuRoch capacitors, and gold-plated connectors support signal purity, durability and long-term performance.
