The Ebony MC Cartridges is Benz Micro’s high-end cross-coil generator based cartridges with Ebony L, H & TR models.
Each cartridge uses the best materials, such as Ebony wood body, Micro Ridge stylus and the most advanced coil windings for their application, with its exotic aged Mozambique Ebony casing influencing the cartridge’s sonic signature resulting in a deep and rich bass to mid-bass response.
Description
The Ebony L uses low output, symmetrical coil windings for improvements in clarity and greater phase coherence. By reducing the number of coil windings, the LP Ebony is also able to offer faster dynamic and transient response. Parts matching, calibration and attention to detail is exceptional in the LP Ebony; extra care and time is spent fine tuning the suspension before the cartridge leaves the factory.

The Benz Ebony TR cartridge is designer Albert Lukaschek’s ultimate realization of his cross-coil generator based cartridges. The Ebony TR is designed specifically for step-up transformers and has an ultra-low output of .1mV and impedance of 1 ohm.
