We offer trade-ins on selected Hi-Fi equipment, giving you the opportunity to put the value of your current system towards your next purchase. Our team assesses every item individually based on its condition, quality, age, current resale value and demand.
Before you submit
We assess each item individually based on condition, functionality, brand and current resale value. Equipment must be complete and fully functional. We don’t accept broken equipment, although basic repairs may be considered where they make commercial sense.
How It Works

Start by sending us an enquiry with the make and model, approximate age, condition and a few clear photos of the equipment you’d like to trade in.
We’ll review your enquiry
Our team will review the equipment and let you know whether we’re interested in considering it for trade-in.
Bring it into our showroom
If we’d like to proceed, we’ll ask you to bring the equipment in so our team can inspect and assess it in person.
Assessment times vary depending on the equipment and the number of items being traded. Most assessments can be completed the same day, although larger trade-ins or more involved equipment may take longer.
Put the value towards your next system
Once your equipment has been assessed, you can accept the trade-in value and use it as store credit or put it towards a new purchase.
You can also decline the offer and take your equipment home, or take some time to consider the offer.

We primarily focus on quality Hi-Fi equipment from brands we currently carry, although we may consider products from other brands on a case-by-case basis.

What Determines Your Trade-in Value?
Every trade-in is assessed individually. There is no fixed percentage or standard trade-in rate.
- Condition
The overall cosmetic and functional condition of the equipment. - Quality
The quality, performance and desirability of the product. - Age
The age of the equipment and how it sits within the current market. - Demand
Current resale demand and the equipment’s market value.
Our goal is to establish a fair trade-in value based on what the equipment is worth in today’s market.
Your Trade-in Credit
Once your trade-in has been accepted, its value can be used as store credit or put towards another purchase.
Your credit:
- Can be used on any product in-store
- Can be used towards other trade-in products
- Can be used on sale items
- Can be used immediately
- Can be partially used, with the remaining balance retained as store credit
Trade-in credit cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. Original packaging isn’t required. The equipment does, however, need to be complete and have everything necessary for normal operation.

Generally, no. We don’t accept broken equipment as a trade-in. If an item has a minor fault that may be economical to repair, we may assess whether repairing it would make sense based on its potential resale value.

Yes, provided the trade-in has not yet been completed. You can decline our offer or take some time to consider it before accepting the trade-in.
Once you have accepted the trade-in and received store credit or another item in exchange, the trade-in is considered final and the equipment cannot be returned.
Yes. Trade-in credit can be used towards other trade-in products as well as new products.
No. Trade-in value is provided as store credit and cannot be exchanged for cash.
